For children
Hi, we are Fee and Faja
We're here to keep you company. Goodbyes can be hard, and it helps to talk about it together. Or to be quiet together. Both are okay.

It's okay to feel sad
When someone you love is gone, you often feel many things at once. Sadness, anger, sometimes just tiredness. All of that is part of grief. There is no right or wrong feeling. And you don't have to be alone.
Beautiful memories stay
Someone can be gone, but everything you did together stays. Stories, favorite songs, an inside joke. Those memories are yours. No one can take them away.

Sometimes you feel very sad
One day you feel nothing, the next day you suddenly cry. That's just how grief works. You don't need to hide your tears. Talk about it with someone you trust — a parent, grandparent, teacher. Or draw it. Or write it down.
And sometimes you may laugh too
Laughing when someone is gone — is that okay? Yes, it is. When you hear a funny story, a silly song, or just because the sun is shining. Being happy is not the same as forgetting. It's just also part of living.

We're here for you
Fee and Faja are here because we think it's important that children also understand what goodbye is about. Ask a grown-up if there's something you don't understand. Or ask us — we're here.
